08 The Dopey's £3 on the door web
The Dopey's are known for their classic rock sound, which is heavily
influenced by Thin Lizzy.
The
band originally was made up of five brothers whose early gigs
were as support to their fathers act. Al Davey was a well known
comedian on the South Wales circuit & the boys honed their
musical skills as they accompanied him around the valleys.
Quite a few years & Hundreds of gigs later, the band is still
going strong & is still made up of two brothers - Tramp plays
guitar & vocals ,and Baldy plays lead guitar, and Drummer
Steve Roberts who has been with the Dopey's for 15 years. The
newest addition to The Dopey's is Tramps son Ian, who now plays
bass guitar in the band but is also an excellent guitarist too.

country star Lucie Diamond made
her
Welsh debut with an all-star band and headlined a show at Milkwoodjam,
Swansea - after scooping two major trophies at the UK Country
Radio awards. at the last European CMA Awards, last week it was
announced that Lucie has been nominated for SIX awards in the
latest annual European Country Music Awards. The ONLY British
artist to be nominated in any categories this year.
Her music mixed country, blues, folk and rock, with Lucie's soul
drenched vocals on top. Appealing to country purists and pop fans.
Her 5-piece band featured Eddie Tatton on lead guitar, an Internationally
acclaimed blues guitarist who has toured with many big names,
shared massive festival stages with the likes of Oasis and played
guitar on remixes by U2 and Sting. Lucie's second guitarist Nobby
Cree, spent 15 years with country star Sarah Jory, now with Van
Morrison. Nobby also plays fiddle and mandolin. Bassist Ian Leese,
keyboard maestro Rob Law and drummer Steve Simmonds all have versatile
and credible pedigrees

Bear, are a Swansea based 4 piece band playing an exciting and
original fast’n’funky sound with jazz flavours and
rock intensity. Funk. Reborn. Their
made up of Wayne Davies (guitar and vocals), Jack Brown (drums),
Alex Ainsworth (bass) and Nicky Abraham (Vocals).
They
play a mixture of original songs and covers with new arrangements.

an artist from Bangor, County Down in Northern Ireland, Foy Vance
has been picking up a lot of praise from unexpected quarters.
Perhaps this is due to the time he spent growing up in Oklahoma
and traveling around Alabama and New Orleans with his preacher
father. Whatever, Vance is slowly building a list of fans as llong
as your arm.
